A lot of people contact me looking for contacts in Asia, sometimes I can help, sometimes I can’t. The most interesting ones are people who contact me asking me to introduce them to buyers in very specific industries, such as the 2cm rubber O ring industry. I know people from a lot of different industries but this is not one of them.
So the question is how do you make contacts in the Asian market? And the simple answer is that it is incredibly difficult and you need to have a lot of patience. But these relationships are worth it.
The most difficult part about making relationships in Asia is understanding who is professional and worthwhile having in your network and who is just wasting your time; because a lot of people will waste your time.
